Pacific Crest strives to create a lively and diverse educational community. In order to succeed at Pacific Crest it is important for applicants to understand the expectations placed upon Pacific Crest students when they apply. If a student does not thrive in this environment they may choose to or be asked to leave. This is always traumatic in a close-knit community, so we hope that each student is well informed before he or she decides to complete the application.
Simply stated, the expectations are as follows:
- Each student and his or her family are active participants in the school community.
- Each student is motivated to learn and desires to take on new challenges.
- Each student is committed to helping other students do their best.
- Each student supports Pacific Crest’s drug-free environment.
- Each student understands and supports the school’s philosophy and approach to education.
The Application Process
Attend one of our Open Houses held November 16th, 2019 or January 11th, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 or call and SET UP AN APPOINTMENT for a visit during one of our monthly Tuesday morning tours at 10:00 and ending with a visit to our weekly School Meeting. Call the school between 8:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday: (503) 234-2826.
The student comes to school for a day long visit, shadowing another student of similar age and/or academic standing. During the shadow day we expect students to be engaged and participate. This is an opportunity for both the school and the student to see if Pacific Crest is a good fit. The shadow day must be completed by February 14, 2020.
