Thanks for your interest in Pacific Crest!
Your understanding of the school’s philosophy and approach to education are extremely important to your success. Therefore, if you have questions or concerns please call to have the issues clarified before you apply. Tuition for the 2017-18 school year is $13,750. This can be made in one payment or in 10 monthly installments.
Pacific Crest strives to create a lively and diverse educational community. In order to succeed at Pacific Crest it is important for applicants to understand the expectations placed upon Pacific Crest students when they apply. If a student does not thrive in this environment they may choose to or be asked to leave. This is always traumatic in a close-knit community, so we hope that each student is well informed before he or she decides to complete the application.
Simply stated, the expectations are as follows:
- Each student and his or her family are active participants in the school community.
- Each student is motivated to learn and desires to take on new challenges.
- Each student is committed to helping other students do their best.
- Each student supports Pacific Crest’s drug-free environment.
- Each student understands and supports the school’s philosophy and approach to education.
The Application Process
Attend one of our Open Houses held November 18th, 2017 or January 20th, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 or call and set up an appointment for a visit during a Tuesday morning, starting with a tour at 10:00 and ending with a visit to our weekly School Meeting. Call the school between 8:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday: (503) 234-2826.
The student comes to school for a day long visit, shadowing another student of similar age and/or academic standing. During the shadow day we expect students to be engaged and participate. This is an opportunity for both the school and the student to see if Pacific Crest is a good fit.
Application deadline for the 2017-18 school year is March 1, 2018. Include a $100.00 non-refundable application fee. Please include a photo of the student as well as a copy of the most recent high school transcript if applying as a high school transfer student. The Student Statement needs to be done in the student’s own handwriting using their best writing skills. The Parent Statements may be typed. The Teacher and Mentor Statements are to be completed by people who have successfully worked with the student in previous educational or volunteer circumstances.
