Community Organizing:
Concert For Peace: A benefit for Oregon Peace Works featuring a variety of musical performances, was organized by a Pacific Crest junior. It attracted more than 300 people and raised $1800.
A Pow Wow held at Portland Community College's Cascade Campus, and attracting 300 tribal participants from around the Northwest was organized by a Pacific Crest student as his senior project.
Art Exhibitions:
Two Pacific Crest art students had gallery shows of their work in Portland's renowned Pearl and Alberta arts districts.
The mosaic at the Lewis and Clark College Women's Healthcare Center was created (down to each tile), built and donated by a Pacific Crest student.
Theater Productions:
Two original plays were written and staged by Pacific Crest students, one at Portland's Clinton Street Theater.
Social Service:
A video documenting the effects of a therapeutic riding program for disabled children was made by a Pacific Crest student as part of an independent study project. The video is now used by a local therapeutic riding organization to help families understand the therapy program.
Artwork promoting child adoption and foster care was created by a Pacific Crest student for an Oregon Department of Human Services statewide campaign.
Academics:
A scientific e-coli study of the Willamette River, designed and conducted by a Pacific Crest student, was subsequently used by the Portland Tribune as the basis for an article on river health.
Oregon Outdoor School website was designed and built by a Pacific Crest student. It is still in use by the Multnomah Education Services District.
A comprehensive, 10-week Native American Studies curriculum was created and taught by a Pacific Crest student. It has been used in classes at Pacific Crest and at area public schools.
A literary magazine was created and published by a Pacific Crest student. It is in its 3rd year of publication.
