We are embarking on an ambitious – yet doable – renovation and remodel project to reconfigure the theater, afford us additional classrooms and improve the overall facilities. The goal of this undertaking is to simply better serve our students and teachers who are presently bursting at the seams of our beloved 60+-year-old church. We have been working with the architecture firm Fletcher, Farr, Ayotte, Inc., and they have drawn up a vision of what we hope to achieve. Please see the models below – for perspectives all around.
Central to our renovation project is our group of community partners – creative arts groups that enjoy the theater and, in turn, support our efforts. Please learn more about Pacific Crest Sinfonietta at pcsorchestra.org and Pacific Crest Jazz Orchestra through the American Music Program at www.americanmusicprogram.org.
Our first order of business is raising money to pay for the initial phase of work, which includes architecture fees and permitting. In early December, we sent our formal request for funding from Pacific Crest supporters. Feel free to donate online as well.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
No tuition dollars are used for Capital Campaign expenses.
We kicked off our campaign on February 2 with a Cocktail Party at the historic Ainsworth House in SW Portland. The event was a great success. We raised more than $10,000 in donations and received additional pledges of support. Additionally, many of our parents and supporters were able to view detailed drawings of our plans. Thank you so much for attending and donating.
